I actually found this site while searching for information on building crossovers. Some consider the entire endeavour evil, others a hobby unto itself.

If I go with a powered sub it should be pretty easy to just adjust its LP point to work with where the 901's naturally roll off.

The 901's actually measure about 7.1 ohms resistance not playing. Above it is mentioned that the Linaeums are about 6ohms. Since they are in different frequencies with some overlap the load may be tolerable.

I just unpacked my Linaeums to check. They are indeed 6 Ohms. Says so on the bottom and an impendance sweep shows very flat 6 ohms from 20Hz to 10KHz - then a slight rise to 6.5 Ohms at 20KHz.

Call them 6 and be done.

You can use this page http://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Calculator/XOver/ to figure your x-over.
E.G.
for 4K 1st order use 6.6uF
for 4K 2nd order LR use 3.3uF + 0.5mH

I hope to try mine on top of my current OB rig.
Have fun with the 901s!
