I have just purchased an analogue Leader 1701R Automatic Distortion Meter listed as not working. I am looking for a user manual and a service manual if anyone can help.

Have you tried contacting Leader directly? They are still around and supposedly will send you info on their old models for free.

Hi stellavox. Yes, had a look on Leader USA website but did not find this instrument in the obsolete section. Left a request for them to contact me.
