I think we are saying what Douglas self is saying here - oversize. The reason I put a film cap in parallel with the 1000uF cap is because I am concerned about the electrolytic capacitirs performance wrt to HF and to signals with fast rise times. I trick learned while designing SMPS`s in my dim and distant past.
