Pin 1 is too high. Give me the voltage on all of the pins of IC2.

You have the pins numbered wrong. Start counting on the bottom left to right, then up and then right to left on the top. You don't need to redo these but you need to get them right on the op-amp.

I checked the ic directly below the 494 that reads to358 4t81

If this is the right one it reads

D606 striped side reads 0
Non stripped side reads 0.52

Theres no dc voltage on outputs (speaker terminals)

wondering if you could send the diagram again for some reason it wont let me open it

Have you checked for shorted output transistors?

If so and none are shorted, desolder/lift one end of D606. Does the amp power up?

Be careful. Be ready to quickly disconnect the power supply. It may draw excessive current. Have the transistors clamped tightly to the sink and have a 10 amp fuse in the B+ line.

checked for shorted outputs they check fine lifted 1 end of d606 amp still does nothing it wont power up

ok sorry been a long day the voltage on pin 2 reads 2.62 volts with d606 out

That's better. What do you have on 9 and 10 of the 494 now?

I opened the file and the link from 2 different computers. It should work.

The amp is powered up. Did you try to get audio out of it?

Measure the DC voltage across the speaker terminals before you connect a speaker to confirm that it's well below 0.1v.

ok just tryed for audio nothing no sound at all but its a mono amp amp 2 of the ouputs arent in it yet wondering if that might be why??

That's probably why it was going into protect. We can't do any more until you get the outputs replaced.

Note to self... Ask if all of the parts are in the amp. This is the 3rd time in a week that this has happened.
