That SR-1 is made to do only so much, only what the manufacturer planned for it and the abilities are built in and non changeable.

Don't forget, he modded an older piece of equipment to increase it's range, but neglected to fix the ground loop problem inherent in the design. As a result, the testing produced artifacts that had nothing to do with the DUT, but rather, the equipment.
If it's taking "man months" to "learn" how to use it to get the "results" you are looking for, then I would question your methods from the beginning.
That depends on how close to the machine limit you get, and especially if one is trying to go beyond the machine limits. Unfortunately, doing that is full of surprises, rarely good or accurate.

Messing with a piece of equipment till you see "something" doesn't prove anything unless it's repeatable and can be verified by others.
Absolutely agree. Repeatable and verifiable.

Vinyl's resurrection: Sales at a record high - Videos - CBS News

June 13, 2014, 6:23 AM|As the age old adage goes, what's old becomes new again, and yes -- vinyl is back. Anthony Mason, anchor of "CBS This Morning Saturday," reports from Nashville where he speaks with the Black Keys about how this unique sound is coming full circle.

Yes. The next fad will be larger-than-360-degrees dispersion.
Google 'angular inflation'.

Acoustic dispersion does not refer to coverage angle! It is used to describe how the frequency components propagate differently.

360 degrees of coverage is quite inadequate as a sphere is 360 x 180 degrees.

Jan, if we made technical terms in English easy anyone could pass as an expert.

And no I won't even consider what the Dutch version would be!

But for now I won't let you drive the spaceship, such two dimensional thinking.

And just since everyone loves questions.... A fly in a cubical room is on one wall two meters off the ground in the middle of the wall. The room is 3M x 3M x 3M. The fly walks to the farthest wall also in the middle two meters off the floor. How far did the fly walk if it took the shortest distance?

Yeah we were just laughing about that ;)

Jan

Not really a Joke,

A good friends teenage daughter received a Grammy for best new Jazz musician, she started playing vinyl a couple months ago and is just Stoked. He asked and we are putting together something for her to use as her own rig.

Then another Friend with a few TT's used to take a thrill out of taking youngsters and showing them big CD's (this is what my kids used to call them when they were young) , last year his grandkids visited with a friend and he did his usual routine, to his surprise their friend said , yeah ,we know what it was and they listen to LP's every week at another friends house, the look on his face was priceless.. :)

Yep ....... :)

Intuitively, a person pictures a hemisphere.

5M seems obvious.

Not exactly , it's more like Efi is here, now throw away your weber carburetors, carb sales dwindle to non existence , factories close and disappear and suddenly 30yrs later carb sales are coming back , doubling in sales yearly, new factories are opening , auto designers are now requesting them and young new car buyers find them interesting enough to tick the option box on a product most thought was dead.

Err, just saying ... :)
