8W7-3 for home use
I recently acquired a JL Audio 8w7-3 and a 300W Bash plate amp. I'd like to build an enclosure for home use. From what I have read, a vented enclosure is preferred to a sealed when used in a home application. Makes sense since cabin gain is a factor in auto use.
Has anyone built or have experience with this design shown on drmarksays?

Very tight bass. Very powerful. In fact it's too powerful. It barely needs to be turned up at all to fill out the sound.
If anyone has an 8W7 laying around, and needs a home subwoofer, I can definitely recommended this design.
I can post the dimensional data if there is any interest.

Construction drawing
Hello Leon (PmoTh), here are the construction details. I have also attached a couple of photos of another sub cabinet I built. That is how I would do the feet as opposed to the original way I did the 8W7 with the 2x2 posts. You will just have to modify the drawing to add the feet extensions to the side pieces. Just make sure you make them long enough to account for the this long-through woofer. 4" is enough.
