JFET Switching on my tube amp

I'm assuming you are using it as a shunt switch to signal ground.

On the data sheets there is a graph of parameter interactions over device spread - we all know that JFET parameters vary widely.

From that graph it appears that RDS on varies between about 70 and 150 Ohms. From those values work out if your bleed through problem is due to too high an ON resistance.

If it is not due to that then check your wiring to make sure the JFET source connection is to the closest signal ground point or look to see if there is a more appropriate point to apply the shunt switch.

There was a post on PowerScaling.com which talked about an identical problem. I had a quick look but did'nt find it. Might be worth a browse there.
