Any advantage re distortion should still benefit any of the configs.

The reduction in non-linearities only comes when the drivers are operated push-pull (ie drivers move air in phase, but one is mechanically moving in, the other out). The Linn isobariks have the drivers facing the same way so don't get a gain here (they are still fine sounding speakers thou and inspired a lot of my late 70s early 80s designs).

here's a graph I posted in another thread that shows how isobaric configuration flattens BL even with an XBL^2 sub like brahma. thats clamshell or mag-mag, but "doggystle" will give no change in BL or suspension curves, It will still change your VAS however
