Inexpensive tube amplifier kits?

Chineese PC boards on ebay

I ran across these the other day. Has anyone had a chance to play with them?

I've no doubt the Tubelab SE sounds better, but at that price with tubes and all, it makes me curious.

This one from the same seller also intrigues me. Probibly out of your price range though.

If you scrounge you might be able to do a 6LU8 PP amp.. Toner transfer etched in Ziploc bags....
Output iron was $80 for 3, Power transformer was $45, tubes were 5 for $25, 6CG3 was $3.... I took my time in finding a lot of the parts from crags list and fleebay. I sandblasted the bells and painted, extended the leads. The outputs were from a Bogen amp, last pic..
The KEG-EAR pcb was designed for the 6L6 family of tubes and the 6P3S Russians worked well especially for the price. Currently working on a mod of it using cheep 17JT6 output tubes, Edcor has a PT for $85 that should work, Output iron should be in the 25-40watt size, 6.6KRaa....
Pete Millet's big red PCB using 6GV5 will give you 25watts/channel with the $160 tranformer set from Edcor.
