You are correct - inductors in series, capacitors in parallel. Here's an info page:

Just don't stack the inductors up in a pile. Best to string them out and if they are air coils, orient the coils at 90 degree shift to one another. They will interact otherwise. Also, if you are using large metal sheet capacitors, you want to keep them away from this string of inductors about 4 inches or more.
