Aha, i missed that one-powersupply thing...
With Ixys depleationmode-fets you could build this one.
But as you said, two powersupplies are needed.
The simplest fully balanced supersymetrical pushpull one stage-amp i can imagine. With big batteries as powersupplies no capacitors are needed at all anywhere in the amp.

I've beat Zen inductor amps to death ... http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/24737-choke-loads-zen-aleph-amps.html
I ended up with toroidal 120mH 2.5A Amveco inductors. Since then, I run a source-follower output stage with an Aleph CCS.
Inductor amps still fascinate me, mostly because of the energy efficiency, but I've never maintained one in my system long-term.

I'm afraid that inductor amps are all that thrill me. I, too, appreciate the enhanced efficiency. My most recent inductor, balanced, cascoded, follower is wonderful to listen to. It seems to have extra spring in the music, more life like. For a fellow that's hard of hearing, that bit of liveliness is hard to beat. Now, my wife, the golden ears, thinks the amp sounds excellent and is rather displeased that I've sold it. I told her I'll build us another very soon.
Hi Johannes!
How many Voltages did you set the Vgs for biasing?

How much DCR has your big Choke? The inductor is a bifilare winded big E-core transformer with about 2 x 150 turns of 2,5 mm2 isolated coppercable.
