How cheap is cheap. I watched on eBay for ahile and picked up a Heath bridge for about $50.

Jameco sells an add-on inductance measuring circuit
for less than $10 -- seems to use a multivibrator / demodulator circuit -- L = E * di/dt It's reasonably acurate.
you can purchase the Heathkit RLC bridge, battery operated, for about $20 --
The Genrad 1650 and ESI impedance bridges are very acurate and usually go for around $50 to $70.
I have a Genrad 1658 digibridge which I bought, with manual, for $150. It is also very acurate, microprocessor controlled and used every day. Sometimes these will go for under $100.

Bridge over troubled waters
It all depends om the inductors you want to measure. If (as I suspect) you want to measure inductors for crossovers, you will want a bridge. You will not regret the purchase. You will, however, find yourself measuring every capacitor before using it...
