I have some questions and comments...

Are there "fake" LM1875s out there like TDA20X0 ICs? I bought some TDA2040 chips on ebay. One came with a railed output. The circuit was good as I could swap good with bad. I test with 1 amp current limited PSU at +/- 5 volts to start just to be safe so I know I didn't kill it. I suspect the chips were fake. Digikey for me from now on. They state on their receipt that parts are genuine from manufacturer.

BTW, look at the hulking zobel called for on the 'sheets for the TDA2050. 2.2Ohm with .47uf:eek:

My question is: There are several newer ICs in the low power up to car stereo BTL ICs that do not call for any Zobel on the output. How do they stabilize the amps?
Thanks
