I'm trying to connect two subs to one amp.
Situation:
Two 4ohm dual voice coil subs in separate cabinets.
One 4ohm amp.
Problem:
How do I get those two separate subwoofers connected to one 4ohm sub amp and maintain an impedance of 4-8 ohms?
Assumption:
I assume I can wire the two voice coils on each sub in series and that would bring the impedance of each sub driver up to 8ohms? Then I would have two 8ohm subs instead of two 4ohm subs.
If that is true and I then connect them in parallel to the amp, will I then have a 4ohm load?
