Thought i would give a peak at our j box we have been working on for the last several months

The stands where mostly hand work, after mortise&tenons where fitted and the bottoms of the legs where tapered on the bandsaw the remaining work was done with a spokeshave and handplane. The legs have no flat sides, they where all spokshaved to a subtle curve and the corners rounded. The rails where all finished with a jack plane and the edges rounded with a block plane only. Very little sanding was done just a little with some 180grt to smooth the softened edges. It is a real joy to spend a whole day in the workshop not having to listen to noisy machinery or breathing clouds of dust but instead listening to tunes on your new speakers.
