Seriously, any hints? It's remarkable how smelly a single roasted 1/4W resistor can make a piece. I've never found anything to eradicate it except time.
Burn all the matches in the house, say you tried to light that romantic candle, but they prooved all damp.
If you incinerate your house in the proces, all unwanted evidence is covered up anyway.
Nobody will notice.
