how do I use resistors of certain values to get 19vDC down to 18vDC?

They are all odd sizes;) But then you just buy a connector and cut of the one that doesen't fit, and replace it. I never throw away a PSU. If it's broken I cut off the connector. This way I have "repaired" a couple of devices for free.
