As long as you are cautious and are in a protected esd safe environment, wearing rubber shoes, glasses and gloves, do not touch the circuit when it is operating, what could go wrong?
Personally, I have been looking at that circuit for some time now, it would also be interesting to make a batch of capacitors to see if I could make them and match them to spec myself. Never thought of it seriously before this thread.
