Hiraga "Le Monstre"

Hello Prasi.
The drain and source of jfet pins are inverted in your layout and schematic.

Hello bluevas, Isnt source and drain reversible for JFET? I see some layout where drain is connected to trimmer pot and some layout have source connected to trimmer pot.

The first was all original, great sound but low power.
The second was all original up to the output transistors which were Toshiba
Similar sound slightly different bias needed.
Most recent one was all original except output stage which was Onsemi.
More power on this one very clean slightly colder sound.

Though I got confirmation from 2 builders regarding JFET orientation makes no difference, here is the one with JFET drain connected to BJTs.

Hi Prasi

This is the way I usually see the jfet being connected.

Looks like double sided pcb. Is it possible to get the Gerber for this latest edition? I haven’t verified the pcb but I like what you did ! Pls check, there is a red line inside R7.

Maybe I’ll run a small batch, it’s been a while I haven’t send one to PCBway.

Best regards
Eric

Hi Eric,
Sure , will share the pdf and gerbers here. The redline indicates that Input ground is to be connected to PSU ground, which is already mentioned on the PCB, so no problems there.

If you have placed many orders with PCBWAY, then you must have accumulated lot of 'beans' . Those can be en-cashed for gift PCBs and projects on their site. Do check out for cool little PCBs and projects!
