Can any one tell me wats the world highest sensitivy sub, just sub only without horns
well i found this JBL P1222 which sayz 97dB SPL @ 400rms aprox350$
http://www.jbl.com/car/products/pro...age=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA&cat=SUB&ser=POS
i guess its one of the most efficient n highest SPL i have ever seen in spec. of any sub
Have u seen anything better than this...

mpmarino said:That sensitivity is most likely derived from the two 2ohm coils in parallel - so, a 1 ohm load. Also, it's not referenced to 1 watt - but to 2.83v.
The real spec at '1 watt' is probably much much less.
if its at 1ohm, u have to reduce 9db, so its 97-9 =which would be too less, JBL site just said 2.83v at 1 meter it does not say 1ohm or 2 ohm or 8ohm [], not a fair thing

And of course, all the less significant out there. Just to name a small few..

And let's not forget some of the 24 inchers!..

^ Atomic ELE24 is only a measly 95.3dB and dual 4 ohm, but with 19.6Hz Fs and 15mm Xmax though.
..I guess this is all different though.
I think I've seen quite a few claiming over 100dB too, with response graphs (as if that really means anything).

Here is a company that has some Ciare HW450 to give away for an intersting price:

From the bottom of the page in small blurry print
Another audio scam, P= V^2/R = 2.83^2/1 = ~8 watts when responsible companies use 1 watt for efficiency.

You can't break the law---
Any sub with high SPL and low Fs must have a very large VAS (or low impedence)--
So if you don't mind having a huge enclosure, it would probably be an 18" pro sound "sub" that would qualify as "plays loudest".
I can't tell you how many hours I spent looking over specs.....
