After replacing the gate resistors but before replacing the FETs, check the gate drive signal with the scope to make sure the falling edge is square (perfectly vertical) to within ~1v of ground. The 2SA1023 drivers may have been damaged. If they were, the drive voltage may not be pulled down quickly enough and could cause the FETs to fail.
Remember, 10 amp fuse and have all power semiconductors clamped to the sink before applying power (after replacing the PS FETs).
With the 47 ohm resistors, there's no question that they'll be low enough in value.
