The amp powers and but switches to protect mode. I pulled all the output FETs and they tested fine. With all outputs fets removed the amp stays on 3 more seconds before switching to protect.

Are you 100% sure that there are no solder bridges between the solder pads for the output transistors?

While test I shorted q288 its marked c3228 yk842. This is a ktc3228 correct?

Before I made my dumb mistake the gates of q204 203 202 214 215 216 were getting a straight 18v before going into protect. This was with all output transistors removed.

With Q288 installed the amp was going straight into protect. After I removed it its back to turning on and switching to protect.

Yup its stays on. Nice. I wanted to pull it out yesterday but wasn't sure if it was safe.


U4 and u13 are either very cheap or got hot. What part number are they?

Try replacing the two transistors in the rectangle in the attached photo.

If you have to order them, order both the MMBTA42 and the MMBTA92.

i only suggested 2sc2383 because while searching for ktc3228 it had it as an alternative. I cant find that web page nor do i know if its creatable.

Ktc3228 is in q288 location on the board. Pin 1 is tied in with 2 resistors and a cap that leads to the source of 3 output transistors q220 221 222. Pin 3 is tied in with the side of the cap and resistors.
