I am new to both class D amplifiers and switching power supplies. I have been driving a pair of NHT SB-3 speakers with a Dayton Audio APA150, and have been unimpressed with the sound. I ordered both the Hifimediy T1 and T2 amps to compare their sound driving my speakers which are rated at 8 ohms with an impedence drop to 4 ohms in the lower midrange. After this comparison I plan to modify the speakers for biamplification using both amp modules. I would like to use PLLXO's but an electronic cross over would also be an option. Does anyone have experience on what I should expect with my T1/T2 comparison or with my biamplification scenario?
