Halo had copyrighted material on his linked site. He was asked nicely (twice) to either remove the illegal content or remove the link from diyAudio. His failure to comply meant we had no choice but to remove the offending ftp address from his profile.
The illegal material is more offensive than porn. Even if that is not enuff grounds for sinbin, ignoring the mod's request is.

halojoy was invited a number of times to address these concerns. And he has failed to respond to any of my private mails to him wrt this.
I really like halojoy. I enjoy his posts. He adds something very important & unique to the forum. I have stood up for and defended him an a number of occasions -- and taken some lumps for it.
Those lumps, i believe, have proved very worthwhile as the notes of appreciation of his posts continue to appear in this thread, and his signature style has spread like a beneficial virus thru-out the forum... even one of his biggest early detractors now sports a halo-style signature.
I also know that halo is living just shy of the arctic circle, where it is just starting to emerge from a very long & very dark winter. There has appeared a number of posts wrt the possibility of (lack of) light induced depression, and everyone has been supportive of halo.
But i am afraid that he has pushed too far here, and been too unresponsive. I am afraid that some sinbin time is required. This is not a reflection on halo in general, but a specific response to a specific situation. It should be taken in the spirit of "Friends don't let friends drive drunk"

I spoke with Halo by e-mail over the last 2 days. He still seems very bitter.
He want's a letter posted, which in itself I see no problem. Unfortunately he is insisting it's complete, and it has links to his FTP, which STILL has copyrite material on it. (As checked this morning).
