sorry moderator, i should have made myself clear. ive had years of experiance and even i get a jolt every now and then.

electriity can and does kill.

mr Wyatt, ok ill leave the caps as they are, i did wonder whether the low freq, would be affected. is it feasable to bypass with snubber caps? simillar to the guys in the chip amp forum do with power supplies, and would that allow the use of larger caps without the sonic affect on the bass???

there is no centre tap on the transformer, there are three secondary taps, marked, 130v, 6.3v and 6.3v each tap has just two conectors. so ill probly try the full wave bridge first as ive got a few lying around.
