Greek letters

Hi,

as HTML code doesn't work, is there another way to show Greek letters, such as Omega for ohm, in this board?

Well it's in the Symbol character set (as Alt. 0087). But I don't know how to get to the Symbol character set.

If you use Windows, it can be found easily via Character Map. Ω

How did you do that?
When I go to Windows:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map.
then
font = Symbol
selecting the Ohm symbol and copying it to this reply I get a "W".

It's the Arial font. It seems to be the default font for the board.
ASCII alt-codes are all an iffy proposition at best here, and aren't an option with my laptop. Character Map gets a Quick Launch icon.

234, ALT release = Ω
230 = µ
253 = ²
so, ALT230, ALT release, ALT253, ALT release, will give you µ²
251 = √
248 = ° (degrees, temperature)
241 = ±
0169 = ©
and so on...

You can do it on a Mac by hitting 'Option-Z' Ω

In Vista you just type "character map" into the start menu. I have it pinned to the taskbar ready to use anytime.

Another forum I recently joined (Forum for Electronics), makes it really easy. You just click on the character to add it inline. I don't know what software they use though, or if the feature can be implemented with our software here.

One attaches it by right clicking the program and selecting "Pin to taskbar" (or Add to Quick Launch). Pin to start menu attaches it to your main start menu.

Like this. Or you can "send too" and select Desktop.

I now have character map in the start menu (pin to start menu) and also on the desktop (send to desktop).
I tried to drag the desktop shortcut to the taskbar (which I have at the side of my wide screen) but it won't go.

I cannot see pin to taskbar, nor can I see add to quick launch.
