I'm sure this topic has been covered before in the Digital forum!
But this is one of those topics where you will get as many suggestions as there are opamps in your parts supplier's catalogue. As ever, it's more a question of trying a few to see which you[.b] like the best! And much depends on how much you want to spend!
Good replacement?
I would say a boring replacement...I find the 604 more "musical".

Whoha Upupa, I absolutely agree.
Compared to the OPA132/2132 (or 4) the OPA(2)604 has a "raw", less defined, more "scratchy" midband and treble.
Also, the (2)132 has real BASS dynamics.
Deal?
Would you trade those for some "hand-selected" JRC op-amps?

I have ~50 x OPA604 for trade/sale...

The OPA2604 sounds better than the OP275.

Yes.
The 2132 (P version) is fat/wooly sounding, but it's still a little better then the 2134AP. Perhaps some like the 2132 because it fattens the rather lean/bright sound of their system. It certainly won't make anyone's ears bleed, that's for sure.
I would like to hear some opinions of the 8620.

No it's not.
You just don't know how to use it.
And yes, I KNOW what you're talking about. You've hit the spot.
Hint: PSU bypass.

The OPA2132 is much better.
