Good Case for simple chip-amps

I posted a link to a promising case now available in the US, I have one now and here are the details.

It isn't quite what I thought, but it is a decent case, especially forr $22 US (including shipping). This one's black, smooth finish inside & uniformly rough (sandblasted) finish outside.

The case has ribs inside, on the top & bottom surfaces. The case is 2 mm thick and the ribs are 1.5 to 2 mm tall.

The minimum inside dimensions are: 61.5 mm tall (between the ribs), 133 mm wide (at the center joint), the usable width of the top and bottom surfaces 127 mm, and 200 mm long.

If it looks a little "pinched-in" at the side joints, that's because it is, by about 2 mm.

I found these cases later.

8.5" L x 6.15" W x 3.096" H Split Body Aluminum Enclosure

They are well built, a better size, flat on the inside, and still not-expensive at about $36. Context Engineering makes them and has other 1U & 2U sizes also.

Otherwise, just keep looking on ebay

I got the same case from eBay My World - fan_computer . It arrived pretty fast and is quite well made. Not being flat inside can make it tricky, but at any rate - a chipamp will fit, no problem.
