The BOM is not Correct... R4-r9 are five resistors...
Thanks for the catch, I changed R9 # to 1
The MSRF860G is much more powerful than the MUR120 so it covers for both lower and higher current settings. Its also soft recovery type i.e. better behaving in reverse cycle state. A more flexible and more expensive part. https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/MSR860-D.PDF
the kit has a pair of red and a pair of green LEDs. which one should i use?
That should be a packing mistake (?). But inconsequential for symmetry if you will mix them. When in a hurry use red for LED1 and green for LED2 or vice versa.
no it has both. i have a pair of each for each positive abd negative. so i can choose. which one should i use?
Green LED were included in some kits with the ES capacitors. Some had both sets in there, some just red.
RED only is for 5v target. Higher Voltage targets the greens are fine.
i completed the negative board which included a pair of green and a pair of red LEDs and i used the greens as directed and have the reds as extra but the positive board is missing one of the green LEDs. it has a pair of red and one single green.
Sounds like an error on my part. I can send you some green LEDs if needed.
It turns out that finding a good quality C1 at my local supplier is not so easy. I would like to use Panasonic FC, but they do not exist in 6800 uF at 35V or 50V. They have 3300 uF 35V FC though. Would there be any chance that two of these would fit on the PCB with a bit of improvision (e.g. extra drilling / wires?

Better not mod the PCB. Ask for snap-in Panasonic TS-HA, Epcos, Nippon Chemi-Con, Nichicon, etc.
They have little choice at 6800 uF: only Panasonic Panasonic EEU-HD1V682, Würth Elektronik WCAP-ATG8 and Teapo SLG688M035S1A5Q40K. At 4700 uF they have Panasonic ECA1VHG472. Their datasheets do not give a lot of information to judge quality...

Only the Teapo is snap-in 10mm pitch. Any good 10mF snap-ins they carry? BTW Mundorf M-Lytic AG are good and 10mm compatible, but expensive. https://www.audiohobby.eu/en/mundor...lytic-ag-glue-on-6800-uf-40vdc-125c-2pin.html

Thank you again for the support. In the end I decided to do a special order of Nichicon "Gold Tune" caps:
2PCS NICHICON 6800Uf/35V KG GOLD TUNE AUDIO GRADE ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR | eBay
Should be good enough.
