Hi,

Philippe (pvphil) has designed a new version of the FPE top panel for the EL34 Baby Huey with Hammond transformers that I have used. The most visible difference is a cutout for a 1.999 V panel meter and a bias selector, therefor there is no more need to make holes for the test points

We have also added 3 holes around the two 12AX7 tubes to fix a protective cage, you can see on the right tube with the triangular sign.

There will be another version for Toroidy output transformers that Philippe is using, see picture of his amplifier on post 2076 on EL84 Baby Huey thread : EL84 Amp - Baby Huey

People who have bought the PCB can contact me to get the Front Panel Express file, but they are unfortunately quite expensive

Hi,

I have attached on post 2087 of the baby huey thread : http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/tubes-valves/72536-el84-amp-baby-huey-209.html#post5502535 different documents to facilitate building and adjusting the EL34 Baby Huey...

I am very pleased to see that 6 persons of the first GB and 8 persons of the second GB are coming back in this third GB, I think that they were quite happy with their first build

If we reach 100 PCB's in this third GB made by Prasi, that mean that more than 300 PCB's will have been built for this small tube amplifier and about 90 audio fans ordered one or more set ! For several, that was their first project with a tube amplifier and they have discovered why so many people like the "tube sound" so much

I take this opportunity to thanks again gingertube who stated the EL84 Baby Huey thread and helped me in the design of the EL34 variation as well as Yves who made the first version with two ECL86 tubes
