It's considered the most accurate, but for a long time now folks have been getting plenty good enough results using the added mass method.
Many folks use tire or other known value weights evenly distributed around the felt ring [in the 604’s case] to lower Fs by at least 1.56x = ~19.87 Hz to mimic the increased compliance of a sealed box, then it’s just a matter of adding their marked weights all up, then calculating Vas [method 2]: Measuring Loudspeaker Driver Parameters
