Full range desktop horn speakers

Assuming you had a real horn - the stuff behind the driver, which to the horn is the front, acts like a LP filter.

If you want small desktop speakers, I'd recommend choosing a suitable driver (T/S params) and making a system with a PR... you will likely not get board flat response below the frequency that the driver naturally will tune to (which is at or above Fs), BUT you can tune the PR lower and get a rather pleasing and surprisingly good sound as a result. Actually you can get fairly amazing low bass - at the expense of flatness through the bass range. It sounds *good*. And you still get the majority of the range handled by the driver as it would normally.

And it's smaller than any pseudo horn that attempts to get into the true bass region...

I've built these with 5.25" drivers. Still use some in various places.
