FS: Zenith SE Output Transformers for 6BQ5

This is a pair of SE outputs from a Zenith console. They were used with 6BQ5 / EL84 tubes. I have built amps in the past with ouputs such as these and they were very good sounding. They are of good quality for what they are.

45 euros plus shipping.

FS: 85 new and used 6AQ5 tubes

These are 85 pieces of nos and used 6AQ5 tubes. All different brands such as G.E., RCA, NEC, Tung-Sol, Sylvania ect. I have tested most but not all ( 85 is a lot) and MOST test from good to NOS levels. I dont think there are any duds but i am not going to guarantee they are all strong.

They will be shipped in this nifty cigar box with padding double boxed in a larger cardboard box. I you like I can include 20 pieces of NOS american 7-pin sockets for 20 euros extra.

The only comment I have is that if you ship them in that box very few of them are likely to arrive intact. You will need to individually wrap them or find a bulk shipping box intended for this envelope diameter. I have received a number of inadequately packed tube shipments in the past with a large % of the tubes smashed or otherwise damaged beyond use.

I had them shipped from the US to me in Vienna in this box ( of course double-boxed) and they all arrived safely. They have no room to move or shift so there is not so much shock transferred to the tubes I guess...

I did however put this cigar box in a larger cardboard box with crumpled newspaper on all sides, that reduced said shock I guess.

I remember reading about your experience with the GM70's. That was quite a shame!

The cigar box just holds them all safely tight together, the crumpled paper on all sides in a larger cardboard box should protect them from shock.

However i can ship them by any method a buyer might desire; no problem for me:)

14 6DJ8 / ECC88 Tubes Amperex Bugle Boy, G.E., Sylvania

Here I have 14 ECC88 tubes. Mostly Amperex Bugle Boy, some Amperex without the Bugle Boy printing, two Sylvania and a G.E. with Carbonized Glass.

These have all been tested on my B&K 707 DynaJet tester. No shorts or grid current and they test well.

Of course, I will test them again before they ship out.

14 euros each ( in singles, pairs, take your pick) plus shipping and paypal fees

So, I fired up the tester. I have a B&K 707, I tested a ECC88 that I know to be NOS/NIB (a sealed example from the Tektronix factory) and it tested @ 90/90 so that is a baseline.

The tubes test as follows:

#1 BB 88/89
#2 BB 88/89
#3 BB 90/90
#4 BB 88/88
#5 BB 88/88
#6 BB 88/88
#7 BB 86/86
#8 BB 85/86
#9 BB 87/87
#10 BB 86/86
#11 BB 84/85
#12 G.E. 66/73
#13 Slyvania 85/85
#14 Sylvania 87/88

All in all very good results. The Amperexes all came out of Tek equipment by the way, which might explain their close matching and balancing... The G.E. looks a bit tired.
