I have been tempted by the new Cree SiC mosfets off and on, but I'd hate to drop a bunch of money on them to find out soundwise that they are simply hilariously overpriced IRFP240s. I asked Papa Pass about them during the last Burning Amp, and he hadn't tried them either - they weren't sampling, and the price was 2-3 times higher back then (last October). They might be interesting with Schade-style feedback.
I don't think that's the datasheet for the parts described in the news article as the parameters don't match? It also says that the datasheet is only available if you order samples in die form and production volumes are intended for fall 2012 (so I guess you shouldn't be able to order them from digikey).
