trolling thru that thread and all the links the only estimate of volume i could find was 6.5 liters... so the box is better suited to Fostex FE127

I wouldn't think you'd get anywhere near the FE166e's potential in these boxes. They don't do particularily well in BR and these would seem a bit small to even try (anyone know the volume?). FE167e would on 1st pass be a better fit, porting would likely need adjustment.

-------yes, it does't get out the full potential of Fe166E . use it with a subwoofer, and set the LFE to 200hz in Denon receiver , so this insignia box with fostex speaker only take reponsibility of > 200hz freq.

You'd really need stereo woofers then. As well, AFAIK, most HT recievers typically have a max XO of 120 Hz.
