Update. Tonight I mounted these in a pair of thin towers. Funny story, I was browsing the local classifieds, and stumbled on a pair of speakers I built over 10 years ago, and almost forgot I even made them! At first I thought, hey those look cool...but then they looked kinda familiar!

Long story short, I bought them back for $30! (Well my wife did for me)

They had a pair of Fostex fe83 (I think?) in them.

At the time, I had no idea what Was doing design wise. There is a port at the back in the middle, and the cabinet makes ZERO bass!

So I plugged the port, cut a slot port in the bottom, and slid a gasketed baffle up inside to make it a transmission line! I Made it into basically a frugal horn in layout.

It now has bass flat down to 65hz, and even extends down to 45hz! I'm stunned at how well it sounds now. Even the highs are electrostatic in detail, far better than the fe126en I had.

Added a Energy sub for fun...found it at a yard sale for $5!

Next steps are to paint them and install pedestal feet.
