According to Stereophile's Products of 2016 Amplification Component of the Year | Stereophile.com
"The First Watt J2 won more votes and more points than any other product in the Amplification category."
That doesn't surprise me one bit!

Bravo Papa
As one who is saving parts for the someday release of the schematic, are there any recommendations for ranges of idss for the Jfet s that used (I assume) in the front end?
May as well get them picked out and set aside with the outputs. Someday it will be released, and I want to be ready to build!

Did I mention that the J2 just got the "Amplification Component of the
Year" from Stereophile?
Now I feel validated ... and I have a stash of R100's also ... just wait until I build a Linkwitz LX521.4, I just need to build 3 more, or perhaps use the R085s for the tweeters ...

count on 8mA as golden value
you're good +/-20%
in fact , you can use even V range , they're biased with CCS
They are in the box....Thanks!

well , considering how each and every new (better) gadget is major step forward ,from yesterday's best one , we are now most probably listening Da Muzak somewhere in Proxima Centauri
(plenty of saying about even blind hen finding da grain ... so , yes , J2 prize is lucida intervalla )

Yes, quote from ZV9 article:
"Remarkably, we seem to have made real progress. The original Zen amplifier we measured .6% harmonic distortion at 1 watt, and here we see about 1/100th of that figure. I believe that the best correlation between measured performance and subjective listening occurs with simple circuits, giving rise to the obvious question - does this sound 100 times better?
No, only about 10 times better."

still in active production
I know Right !
Just whinning around in hope that Nelson will finally hear our call for a J2 schematic and explanations
