This is the Rolls-Royce of amps...if you have to ask, you can't afford it

So somewhere between 400-500€?

Your guess on the box will be way off. If you take the last offer for chassis, it was around 500$ which is roughly 385€ + shipping. I don't think LC will put this amplifier in a low cost chassis.

Also, the Hypex SMPS1200A400 are 150€ ea., so 300€ for two and with volume discount we might be able to get a better price...

I'm thinking more around the line of +/-850€ for a full kit

I'd say the psu's can be bought much cheaper if volume discount is passed to the buyers. one could go with a single power supply to safe some money and still get a great performance.

Hypex products are overpriced In my opinion , sure there are cheaper options

The volume pricing on these products is much lower than what is normally sold on the web. I wouldn't be surprised if the price for 100 units would be at least 50% of the 150 retail price. If not, then it is not appealing to large buyers.

I would personaly aim for a AudioPower DPS-500/S-64 but it has yet to be tested

i'm very happy with results with dps500/s.. so, i think this "big brother" will work great!

SMPS1200A400 costs 150 EUR + cable set 10 EUR, it is +/-64 V standard version, very good match for the First One.

- SMPS1200A400 (with Cableset SMPS1200), 2 pcs 320 EUR

All together 690 EUR

Been busy lately, preparing the production materials and installation manuals.

Besides that also making measuring workstation unit which will be one box universal measuring system for the First One, enabling fastest calibration and full functional test of an assembled module. The whole test per module will take less than 120 seconds.

A function generator from the pic bellow in preparing is a heart of the system, also some analog panel instruments, SMPS and loading power resistors on internal heatsink will be in the box.
