The bassTech is aimed at the Pro market so doesn't need to go as low. It also works best in pairs at a minimum, but quads are better (ie 8 for stereo). Might fit in your flat, but you wouldn't have room for anything else
The ContraBass is the one (or 2 you would use for home) and from reports is extremely potent.
I tend to like subs that go a lot higher thou -- and i like to build them myself -- so i (ideally) stick to pairs of drivers. I also like to have them stereo.
