I’ve been searching the forum for posts regarding experiences with the Tang Band 8” driver (W8-740E to be precise). There are some, but it is unclear to me if anyone has any real experience with the driver.
I am considering using it in a dipole project, 3 per side in series with active xo and eq (F ox 200/250 Hz) . The advantage of this driver is its price and size. I know its low Q requires a lot of eq. but I don’t see that as a problem, as I am only requiring moderate SPL.
Can these small drivers produce real HIFI?

The rubber surround E version wasn't available at the Canadian distributor so I bought the foam surround C. It's quite a nice little driver. Good depth, nice beefy motor. I use mine with two drones per cabinet so I wouldn't be helpful with your setup. I agree though that the Q being that low it will require huge amounts of EQ.
