Hi All
I've received PM about parcels delivery, nice to read that the parts have safely landed.
Thanks for your informations and kind words, I've updated GoogleDoc spreadsheet in this view.
I've to mention that there's a typo concerning C32 : we have to reverse this cap polarity.
In my previous post #140, C32 is soldered the wrong way, it must be reversed.
Attached pic shows C32 correct position on the PCB. (red)
Have a look at the Tantalum caps as they are polarized too. (yellow)
Phil

SMD parts populated.
Nothing special, be carefull with C8, must be soldered after Q2.
I've begun with ES9023, WM8804, MIC5205, 74LVC1, followed with 0805 resistors and caps, 1210 caps, inductors, crystal & oscillator, tantalum caps, film caps and electrolytics.
No solder bridge on WM8804
C10 is very close to C10b, you need to bend a little C16 & C31.
That's all, firing on Monday in SE configuration.
Phil
Phil told you before not to solder the caps as a small but effective package is coming your way... Those caps are big: are these the BOM types ?

The following caps C10b - C16 - C23 - C31 are a little bit bigger than BOM's type.
Here's the link : RR71C101MDN1 Nichicon | Mouser
Size : Diameter 8mm x High 11mm but -> very low ESR 7mOhms only
Phil
PS : Jean-Paul you've got personal mail

Hi all
Please be kind and keep me informed about your delivery.
I'll enjoy reading that parts have found the right path to your home.
I'm glad to inform you that the ES9023 "Subbu DAC" sounds damn good !
I've built SE version today with the same HQ parts than yours.
Can't tell you more by now, time to have some rest and listen.
More to come

Thank you Grufti, Ginum and touchdown, best greetings to others that have PM me
I'm really happy you've got the parts.
Go ahead now and built it, it's an amazing piece of DAC.
Read previous posts there are some hints.
I'm currently using ES9023 SE with a GoldMiniReg 5V, waiting for Official PSU.
Output level is strong, a lot of details and great deepness in the sound stage, bass registry has got muscle and is sustained, far from being aggressive treble are very thin, and set spin top without harshness. A real bargain at this price !

Danzup, do you like it ?
Skouliki, take the time to build it carefully (ESD safe too) and enjoy it and let us know if you like it of course.
I always touch a piece of metal before handling any ESD sesnsitive IC (hope that will suffice). I have a 5v "Black-Gated" Salas v1.0 ready to feed the dac. I am impatient to say the least....
Yes I like this DAC and again congrats for it.Danzup, do you like it ?
