Here in the UK Brimar NOS 6br7's can still be had for a pound or two. They are often seen as the CV4006, a lower noise military version. I aquired about a dozen CV4006's ( made by Brimar ) from an ex phone company engineer so probably were used in our phone exchanges. The different pin-out is not a problem when building from scratch.

I received around 25 NOS EF86’s recently. Most are Philips, Volvo, BEL, Siemens and Tungsram. One of these is an “unknown’ brand. The pic is attached. It’s construction is different to others. Came in a white box. Can someone ID this particular tube.
TIA.
This unknown brand looks like Chinese copy of Russian 6J32P (6Ж32П)
What is reasonably priced? I have some NOS Siemens/Telefunken ef804 tubes if you're interested. The pinout is different, but they're quieter and more rugged.Old thread but I'm looking for some EF86's if anyone has some priced reasonable.

Maybe I'm missing an important point you didn't specify... But....
Have you tried a tube store? I'm finding them for about $40.00 each at any random tube store.. As low as about $18.00 each at some places.
