Ive also always been fond of these pen and ink animal drawings used on the cover of the O’reilly books

Ive also noticed that my little gray cat has quite the large ears. Perhaps if I can find a better picture of him, he would consent to being a mascot image.

The dog is my real favorite so far i admit, but it has copyrights
for sure.

I always liked the faces of the unforgetable "Don Martin" from "MAD"
Does someone know somebody that can draw this style? It would be great
to draw a face looking like finaly reached Nirvana and ears still shaking.
What do you think?

I will "pose" one of my Bullmastiffs for a shot as soon as I can. Laying on back great big ears stretched out from side to side...big flappy jowls hangin upside down, funky big teeth looks very odd indeed...kind of like a "gargoyle" in max relax mode.

Here are some very rough preliminary sketches... they are just to get a feel for the style / look of different characters and isn't the final pose that they would be in.

One of the first units I was with as an Army mech had "mickey maintainer" he had a combination wrench in one hand ...and was giving an obscene gesture with the other. Good thing "Walt's" crew of lawyers haven't seen him....this fellas been around the world a few times....come to think of it that creepy little rodent went on WAY more tours than I ever got!

here's another one with the frankenmouse. i think it exemplifies the spirit of DIY, while at the same time it's all about the ear.

ok it's silly. anyway i can make the logo background by itself as well, so that could be used for whatever mascot, in homage to the RCA dog.

/andrew - thinks the ear mouse is 'charming'.

Well a lot of time has passed I know, but the kindling still burns. I like the monkey (with the addition of a broader and more cheeky grin ;) a lot, but I am concerned that some might find it demeaning. Your thoughts? Do we like the monkey? What should he be holding in his two hands and one tail? What should his name be? :)

I know that I am a newer member here and I dont really have a say but I have an idea is to incorperate a members project into a logo or such and have it run and then pick another person.....that way it is a true DIY Forum... a rewarding place for all of us...just an idea

Audio Ganesha

I liked the elephant idea (wise, big ears), and I liked the octopus idea (many hands) and I always liked the religious angle so here is another concept, close to completion...

The ganesha is known for its listening ability to seperate the real from the unreal...

Comments and feedback encouraged!
