Guys,
Just as a side issue for those like myself who like the simplicity of the Pearl, but wished for more gain, Wayne has suggested adding an additional MC stage at the front end to act as a pre preamp.
The only other change to the design is to use about 375 Ohms for a collector resistor instead of 1 K.
