I recently picked up a Velodyne sub from one of my girlfriend's for free, it seems half decent but the amplifier is clearly broken. I get a power on thump and then just crackly noise. I think the drivers are fine so I'm going about replacing the amp with something else. I do want to test it and confirm my suspicions, I also have an old CV sub with a working amp so I pulled that out however there's something curious about the way it's wired. There's actually 2 sets of 2 wires going to the driver and upon checking the wiring on the driver, they go to either side. To be clear, its the CV which has the 2 sets of wires, the velodyne is as expected with one. So my question is, can I probably just use one set of the wires to test out the Velodyne or is this something else?
Thank you <333

How many girlsfriends do you have? 😀 😀 😀
the CV is set up for a dual voice coil woofer. you can use just one set of the leads for the velodyne.
