Well, yeah ! Luck...
But some basic assumptions have to be clear in mind.
Like : what's a box for ?
To control cone movement at resonance frequency and below, because the argument is inductive before Fs and capacitative after ( or viceversa :confused:)
Or...to prevent acoustic short circuit.
What's a horn for ? To amplify, naturally. And what does a BLH do ?
It amplifies some part of the audio band which might get lost by the frontal radiation. Bearing still in mind that the sound from the back is delayed in time.
So that's the comb effect that I see on the graphs.

The comb effect is the purposeful tuning of each horn length to be 10% length increments so that the natural resonance peaks and dips of a single horn can be filled in by its neighbor. In this case it worked out to be abut a 10 Hz separation in peaks. The BLH naturally has delay in front wave and horn output, but that is not cause of comb which is a sum of the outputs of all 5 horns..
