Hi,
I have a Cyrus one amplifier that over the years has developed a huge hum, can anyone suggest any possible reasons for this? I was thinking perhaps a ground problem, but what are the best methods of testing for this?
Many thanks,
Alex

Given the age of these units I would certainly suspect the Electrolytics.
I'm about to recap my Cyrus Two and PSX. It sounds OK but I'm definitely stretching things expecting them to be good after 11+ years.
Since you did not reply to Zen's post does this mean that you have fixed the problem?
If so I would like to hear how (especially since I own a few Ones and Twos).
If not already fixed then you should definitely provide more details since there are some people around here who have serviced these amps in a professional capacity.
