I finished the centre speaker. This is my first DIY speaker. The QLD maple front baffle looks amazing. Thanks everyone for your help.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
After a few years of using this speaker I am having issues with damage to the Alpair 10 driver. I am sure that most of the damage has come from the grandkids sticking their fingers on the driver. I even caught them running toy cars on them when I was around last.
The driver is completely unusable, so I am going to replace it with another Alpair 10.3. I am also concerned that the bass reflex design is possibly leading to damage too. Dad loves playing music at high volumes through all speakers, including this centre one.
Should I install a port at the back to reduce possible damage?
