it may be rated 200watts at 5% THD
u mite get only 100watts at 0.5% THD(like my amp which is 0.01% THD at half the Rms rating)
running a car amp in house = 240v/110V ---14v (or similar)convertor
= expensive
some ppl use batteries but they suck them dry before the charger can charge it fast enough.
computer power supplies do it,but in tiny amounts!
u could build a power supply for lots of money $ urself, switch mode supply.
if u live in US just buy a partsexpress plate amp -cheap
if u live outside US ur unlucky, like me.high shipping.
-------
OR do u mean run as a sub amp in your car????
if so, run your sub off it. if high notes come out, likevoices,u know u need a filter,an active Low pass filter.
dont pay lots of money $$$ for a low pass filter.
probably crossover at 70hz is good or lower.:-D
u can either buy a kit,or a working filter.

Yes, DC instead of AC. If you can get an AC-DC converter that is rated at as many amperes as the car amplifier is rated you can use the power fully. I did some looking into this a few years back and I think the power supply I needed for my 2x150rms (@ .05%THD, I did check first) was going to cost me something like $180. Unless they are a lot cheaper now...
