can anyone tell me if these caps are worth a crap

Could be mylar or polypropylene; I'm guessing mylar. Good for speaker crossovers and high voltage (tube) power supplies. If you've got a voltmeter and even just a nine volt battery, charge up one and then short the leads, let it sit for a minute and then measure the residual voltage. If it's a tenth of a volt, its polypropylene; if it's closer to a volt or more, it's mylar.

I suspect the manufacturer makes 'boutique' caps for various brands. Should be very good quality whatever type of dielectric.
